Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is very often required due to complications stemming from untreated cavities. As a cavity worsens, it can damage or kill the nerve of the tooth. When this happens, root canal treatment is needed in order to remove the damaged or dead nerve, clean and shape the canals where the nerve was and finally, fill the canals. Root canal treatment aims to eliminate bacteria from re-entering the root canal system, thereby preventing reinfection of the tooth. 

Other reasons for needing root canal treatment include a crack in the tooth as a result of injury or problems arising from previous fillings
